What is your return policy?
There are no returns, exchanges, or cancelations. All sales are final. Contact us via phone or email for more information or with any questions.
It's on your website, or in your magazine; do you have it in stock?
Unfortunately, not always. Because we sell off of our racks, the turnovers are high, and we sell through most styles that we carry each season. If we do not have the style that you are interested in, we will first look to see if we have something similar and then check to see if it can be ordered directly through the manufacturer. The purpose of the website and the magazine is to showcase all of the merchandise that we have access to.
Do you hold gowns?
No. Our merchandise is sold on a first come, first serve basis. Bravura provides an equal shopping opportunity for all of our clients. You are welcome to take your chances, but if you love it, do not leave it. The gown may not be here when you return for it, and it may not be available to special order any longer.
Do you offer special financing?
Yes. Bravura offers a layaway service. This option requires a 60% deposit, whether the item(s) are purchased in store, or special ordered. You have 45 days from the original date of purchase to pay off the rest of the item(s). If the item(s) were special ordered, you have 45 days after the the product(s) are received, at the place of purchase, to pay the balance and pick up. The layaway service is also non-refundable, cannot be canceled, and no exchanges will be made. No additional charge is applied to your purchase for using our layaway plan; however, you may be charged a late fee if you have not picked up your product(s) within the 45 day time frame.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Cash, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover. NO CHECKS, and NO MONEY ORDERS.
Do you consign, rent, or buy back dresses?
Do you price match?
Please call, or visit Bravura for details.
How long does it take to special order a gown?
If the gown is in stock, here in the United States, it takes about 7 - 14 business days, assuming the manufacturer can ship the gown immediately. If not, it depends on whether or not the dress is being re cut, and when it will arrive in the States from production. Each dress will have a different response.
Do you register your gowns?
Yes, we do. However, we cannot prevent girls that attend the same school from purchasing the gown from our competitors. It is against the law. Registration DOES NOT guarantee that someone will not purchase the same gown from Bravura. In fact, our system will allow the same gown to be sold in an alternate color; the system only flags a sale when the same gown/same style number is sold, in the same color to the same school. The registration system is a novelty provided by our stores, that serves to keep our clients informed. If another client should choose to purchase the same gown, the same color, or in an alternate color, we cannot deny their right to purchase, but we will most definitely make the client aware that someone else, at the same school, already has the gown. WE WILL NOT RE REGISTER A GOWN, ONCE IT HAS LEFT THE STORE. Dress buying is always a bit of a gamble; what you should worry about, is wearing it best!
What is your special order process like?
Bravura will make every attempt to be sure that we can obtain the item(s) for you prior to retaining any monies for the product(s). If you are ready to order, and we cannot contact the manufacturer to confirm that the item(s) are in stock and available to order, we will make it our first priority on the next business day. Once you have paid for your product(s), or given us your 60% deposit, we will reach out to the manufacturer(s) to place your order. The manufacturer is given the necessary information - style, size, color, wear date, and a purchase order number. Often times, this number will appear on your sales receipt. The purchase order number is used to identify your order on the manufacturer's invoice so that we can easily identify your product(s) upon arrival. Should your order be undeliverable before the given wear date, Bravura will do everything within its power to find other item(s) for you, or your monies will be returned immediately. After your information is provided for the manufacturer, the manufacturer will give us a confirmation number and estimated ship date for our records, assuming that your item(s) are deliverable by the indicated wear date. Your estimated ship date will be available to you per your request. You must contact the store for your estimated ship date and other additional information in regards to your special order(s).
When will my special order(s) be shipped?
Whether your item(s) are in stock with the manufacturer or being made per the manufacturer, the manufacturer will provide Bravura with an estimated ship date. This date is APPROXIMATE, and is subject to change at any time. Many things can interfere with the shipment of your purchased item(s) that are beyond the control of Bravura. These factors include, but are not limited to hold ups in US customs, delays in production, and delays in shipments from the ports; inclimate weather may also delay the shipment of your product(s). Be sure to order early enough to allow room for delay of any kind.

What size do I need and how do I correctly measure for my gown?
Formal gowns are generally cut smaller than your average dress, and these gowns are not guaranteed a seam allowance to be released. We HIGHLY recommend that you have your BUST, WAIST, and HIP measurements taken by a professional before ordering any kind of formal attire.
To determine your size follow the manufacturer's size chart, listed with each style.
- Measure the bust over the fullest part, under your arms and across your back.
- Measure the waistline in the smallest part.
- Measure the hips at the fullest part of the buttocks.
- Have someone else measure you if possible! Note: Dresses that are too large can always be adjusted, but it is far more difficult for a seamstress to release a gown, if there is any room to let out at all.
If I measure correctly will I still need alterations?
Most likely. Gowns and designers all vary, so in most situations dresses must be hemmed, seamed, straps adjusted and pads or cups added for your specific bodytype. This is normal and you should budget for these costs from your local seamstress. Alteration prices vary depending on the material(s) that the seamstress will be working with. Quotes for alteration are only given in stores, by a qualified seamstress or manager.
Is there a charge for shipping?
If express shipping is required you should contact your sales consultant directly! Please call to obtain an email address. We must be aware of the "wear date" or day the of the event in which the gown is to be worn!
This is very important to ensure you get your dress on time with allotted time for alterations!
What is the difference between a "rush-ship" and a "rush-cut"?
Rush Shipping merely states that we will be charging you an additional fee for the merchandise to be received sooner.
Rush Cutting states that gowns are actually being made by the manufacturer and sewn by them faster than normal to meet your required wear date.
Additional fees will be included for rush shipping and rush cuts. These prices vary per the manufacturer.
When will my credit card be processed?
The credit card will only be charged at the time of purchase, so long as the item is available.
Will I be charged state sales tax?
